This is a compilation of editorial and academic writing that I have completed alongside and after studying for my degree in BA English and Media. I am currently working as a junior journalist where I write articles adhering to SEO, engage in extensive research, and weave interviews into long/short style narratives.
I have also worked alongside cultural magazines such as Desiblitz, UnitedKpop, and The Rani Collective, as well as working with local art galleries, The Nottingham Contemporary and BACKLIT gallery.
My writing style is mainly orientated towards opinion pieces, social and cultural commentary, especially regarding marginalised communities within society. I have experience in transcribing and conducting interviews, live coverage events, paid editing and academic writing to a high standard. I have also worked as an ITV intern, researching and compiling and condensing information for news stories. Working alongside such a diverse range of companies has fine tuned my research abilities, as well as my ability to switch between independent and collaborative work. I am confident in pitching article ideas, working towards a tight turnaround schedule, as well as uploading and familiarising myself with internal systems.
